Evening Classes - Introduction to Jewellery Making

**** THE WORKSHOPS START ON THE 21 JANUARY AND TAKE PLACE EVERY TUESDAY*******

If you've ever thought about trying your hand at jewellery making but don't know where to start, this 8 week block of evening classes could be just the thing for you !

Aimed at complete beginners or those who have minimal experience, the classes will take you through the fundamental skills of jewellery making so that by the end of the 8 weeks you will confidently be able to design and make your own jewellery.

Some of the many things you'll learn are :

Saw piercing
Soldering skills
Forming
texturing and surface decoration
Cold connections
reticulation
Bezel stone setting
Basic design skills and problem solving

For 5 weeks you will be guided through these processes working mainly in copper (which will be supplied). In the final 3 weeks you will be supported to design and make your own piece or pieces of jewellery, putting the skills you have gained into practice.
You will have the option to purchase silver to make your final pieces if you wish, or copper will be supplied.

Classes will be held at Whitmuir.

Workshops are suitable for those aged 18 & over.

**** Cancellation Policy ****
Cancellations during the 14 days prior to the event will not be reimbursed.

If you need to cancel more than 14 days prior to the event, you will be offered a space at future classes and if there are no suitable dates available a full refund will be given.
If you need to miss a week or 2 thats ok, but please let me know in advance. No reimbursement will be given for missed weeks.
